Beggars & Cheeseburgers is an art/poetry magazine that is religiously devoted to the Church of Print. But we can’t do it all in print. The Almighty Internet does make a lot of things easier. Having a blog to let you know where to easily obtain our magazine is one of those things. If you came wandering in here for that purpose, HERE YOU GO: Beggars & Cheeseburgers store.

You’ll want to check out of second magazine featuring great work by Gerald Locklin, G Murray Thomas, Joan Jobe Smith, Luke Salazar, James Valvis, Jimmy Meyer, Anna Badua, Clint Margrave, Zachary Locklin, Donna Hilbert… I could go on. Really, you want this magazine.

beggars & cheeseburgers is a quarterly arts magazine focused on print media. Poetry, short stories, photography, painting, etc. We like a variety of styles so we’ll publish a lot of different stuff. Whatever works, works. Whatever doesn’t, doesn’t.

Submissions Submit up to five poems, one short story, five photographs/ drawings/paintings to: submitbeggars@gmail.com PLEASE WRITE SUBMISSIONS IN THE SUBJECT LINE for all submissions. Book reviews are welcome as well. Please send one at a time. We do not want simultaneous submissions or previously published work. On acceptance, Beggars & Cheeseburgers has the exclusive right to publish your work first for one issue. After publication, you’re free to send that work anywhere else. Please let them know that Beggars & Cheeseburgers published it first. While we wish we could, we simply cannot pay every contributor to this magazine in cold hard cash. We pay in contributor’s copies. You get a free copy of the issue you appear in. Extra copies are at discounted rates. We’ll let you know everything once we accept your work. Your work will be read and reviewed by at least three people. We want to assure you that your work will be taken seriously. Please send poems and short stories in the body of the email. We know that this screws with the format but on acceptance, we’ll make sure it looks right. Please send photographs and art in .jpg, .tiff, .pdf, or .psd.
